Job Summary

As a member of the Talent Acquisition (TA) Center of Expertise (COE), Global Talent Acquisition, this position inspires the most talented university students and recent graduates around the globe to launch their careers at Marriott International by driving innovative Talent Acquisition strategies and programs. This position focuses on the development, implementation and evaluation of global university relations strategies, programs, technology and solutions.

 

Expected Contributions

Leads the design, development and deployment of global university relations strategies, programs, tools and technologies to meet specific talent needs in partnership with the Continent Human Resources teams, discipline HR teams and other HR functions.
Acts as the company’s point person for the Global Voyage Program, Marriott’s premier leadership development program for recent graduates.
Partners with global talent acquisition leads, L+D, Employer Brand, discipline SMEs, and other stakeholders to continue to evolve the program including technology, curriculum and reporting.
Manages a technology suite in support of university programs including, but not limited to: digital interviewing, mentoring, internal social collaboration, business simulation, and a university careers website.
Administers the company’s Headquarters Summer Internship Program, partnering extensively with corporate HR generalists across Marriott’s departments.
Evaluates the use and business impact of existing university relations strategies, programs and solutions by reviewing and analyzing talent acquisition metrics, customer satisfaction and other data points. Identifies trends based on quantitative and qualitative data to determine improvement areas, provide follow up for issue resolution and/or appropriate communication to the businesses, and make recommendations on process changes as needed.
Monitors internal and external trends and best practices in talent acquisition related to university relations; benchmarks best practices in and outside of the industry and explores new approaches and technologies to attract, recruit and hire talent globally.
Partners with the Continent talent acquisition leaders and the Talent Acquisition Solutions team to define university relations and recruiting processes, policies, and standards that meet the business needs.
Partners with the reporting and analytics teams on metrics analysis and overall university relations metrics reporting.
Works directly with HR Change Management/Communications to ensure new policies, processes, tools, etc. are communicated to the end users in an accurate and timely manner.
Additional responsibilities may include consulting with continents, disciplines, and brand teams to develop and deploy general TA strategies that are aligned and targeted with their overall strategy needs.
Education

 

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience

Minimum 8 years of experience in human resources, talent acquisition and/or business consulting.
5 years or more in a managerial or project leadership role with demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams.
Previous experience in university relations, talent acquisition or talent management required.
Previous experience working in an organization with globally dispersed operations in countries operating in languages other than English preferred. Experience in hospitality/service industry or industry with field-based operations a plus.
Previous experience working with social media channels preferred.
Previous consulting (internal or external) experience is a plus.
